i have ridiculously long hair but can never bring myself to have anything more than a trim when i go 2 the hair dressers.every1 say they love my hair and they'd kill me if i cut it but its really hear 2 manage and it gets hot underneath it all.i think long hair is a part of a females beauty its sort of a pea cox thing if u know what i mean but i also think that the pob is very cute.u have 2 make sure if u cut it.its really what u want.u cant just put it back if it makes ya cheeks look chubby lol.and its a myth that if u cut ya hair it grows back quicker. x

When you have it cut donate it to lock of love for someone that could really use it. Lots of salons won't charge for the cut if you donate. I don't think age and hair length have anything to do with each other. As long as the hair is healthy, in good shape and accents the woman's features, whatever length she chooses is right. I see so many women in their 30s who cut their hair into these ridiculous short "grandmom" cuts because they think they are SUPPOSED to. If you look good with long hair, why let society tell you when you should cut it. If you look more attractive with short hair, then go for it, but if it makes you look like somebody's granny, why do it??

Long hair is good and at any age. Short hair is severe and definately not as sexy but hairdressers love chopping hair off as short hair needs more cutting than longer which needs more 'caring'.

Long hair should frame face and as you get older covers wrinkles on neck and forehead, etc.

I think if you hair is in good condition it looks great down to the waist but beyond that it looks a bit 'Deep South/The Waltons' to me

I think that the absolute longest a woman at any age should have her hair is halfway down her back. When it gets much longer than that your styling options are very limited (i.e. you just leave it hanging there or you pull it up into some sort of bun or ponytail) and hair on women that is longer than halfway down their backs almost never looks healthy by that point. It also becomes a pain in the butt to deal with.
