I have long hair, but want a change. I picked out, what I thought, was a sexy/flirty cut. It just reaches shoulder-length (which to me, is more medium than short). Anywho, my brother, my ex, %26amp; all guy friends were like, "no, don't cut it, no guy likes short hair." Yeah, I pretty much gonna cut my hair anyways, but just want opinions from guys on whether layered shoulder-length hair with long side-swept bangs is sexy. Thanks.

Do it differently for a change. You can always grow it back out. Having the exact same hairstyle for too long gets boring. You need to change it up a bit. And there are plenty of beautiful woman with short hair. Look at Halle Berri, one of the most beautiful woman in the world has a man's hair cut.

Well...I'm black! And all of my friends, strangers, brothers, everybody loves my hair. It's long! People touch it all of the time. My guy friends tell me it brings me out. They don't even want me to get it styled, just all down! I think for me it is more so important I keep it long because most black girls around me were born with short hair. I know what ur talking about. most guys do prefer long hair. I had long hair and i cut it shoulder length and kept going shorter and shorter then i grew it out into a nice bob and just recently got it short again and its been getting shorter and shorter since. I'm around the same people still but its just funny how people's attitudes just change at first i was just amused but now i think its a good thing that the people who are shallow can just beat it. Its my life, my hair, my choice. I will do what I want to do with everything that is mine. The length of a womans hair shouldn't be the measure of her beauty. When people tell me i looked better with longer hair I just say its hair it grows, it gets longer and becomes shorter and changes color but underneath it all i'm still the same person. Its just amusing how much "my" hair can bother "other people" i just have to laugh. enjoy your new hair. Women are not 'supposed' to have long hair. Don't let people tell you how you should look.
